MORPETH TOWN COUNCIL - RIVER WARDEN SERVICES

Morpeth Town Council recognises the importance of the River Wansbeck which runs through Morpeth Town from Low Ford Bridge to East Mill Weir and consequently provides a River Warden Service to manage the wildlife on the river and other river issues.

The River Warden works closely with the Environment Agency and other relevant organisations. He provides an education programme to encourage a wider understanding of the river and the wildlife using the river and its adjacent areas.
